It has changed my life

Playing guitar is my passion

I’ve always dreamed of learning how to play the guitar, but my parents never let me do that. They believed that I had to focus on sports more. So I started learning how to play the guitar when I was twenty. Luckily, I got an amazing teacher who made a real pro out of me. It took me about a year to master simple chords, and in just three years, I was already able to play challenging guitar parts.

Today, I play in a band. We are not famous yet, but I have high hopes for it. Anyway, even if we do not get famous, I’m still happy to do my favorite thing in the world. So don’t think that you are too old to learn a new skill. Trust me, it's never too late.

Drawing helped me battle my depression

I’ve been suffering from depression and anxiety since I was a teenager. I was (and still am) on different meds, tried therapy and meditation, did sports, and went out, but nothing made me truly happy until I found my passion in life. It was drawing.

When I am drawing something, I don't think about anything. Nothing bothers me. I just enjoy the process. It makes me genuinely happy and helps get my mental issues under control. Apart from that, I get to express myself by means of my art. Today, I am a professional artist, and I am extremely happy to have a job that inspires me to live.

Ukulele made me the life of the party

When I was fifteen, I really got into rock-n-roll, and obviously, I was obsessed with the Beatles. So I started learning how to play the ukulele because it seemed to me that it was easier than playing the guitar. Well, I am proud to say that I nailed it, and in college, this skill made me quite popular.

Since I also loved nature, I hung out a lot with folks who were into hiking and camping, and that was when my ukulele skills made me the life of the party. I still remember those days with particular warmth and love. I met my wife on one of such hikes. What a time it was… Now, I teach my son how to play the ukulele and hope that it will help him find true friends and love too.
